"MRS E J EDWARDS HAS PASSED AWAY - Died at Family Home Saturday Morning - Mrs Margaret Edwards, wife of E J Edwards, a most estimable and well known lady of this city, died at the family home, 278 Brook street, Saturday morning at 7:30 o'clock, following a nine months' illness of tuberculosis. About six months ago the decedent was taken to Mt Alto, but the dread disease had gained too much of a foothold to yield to treatment and she returned home after having been at the institution for three months. Her last days were brightened by the tender care of relatives and the spiritual consolation offered her by religion, she having bowed with Christian resignation to the inevitable and, placing her faith in divine promises, she passed peacefully away confident of a happy hereafter. The decedent, who was the daughter of Mrs B Cornish of this city, was about 32 years and the greater part of her life was passed in this city. Besides the widower, she leaves to mourn her loss three children, Margaret, Irene and Robert, all of this city, her mother and three (sic) [four] brothers and sisters: William Cornish of Springfield, Minn; Mrs Mary Perkins, Mrs Henry R Butler and Walter Cornish, all of Titusville. She was a devout member of St Titus' congregation and was connected with PHC council, No 852, of Coraopolis. Having been a young woman of many admirable traits of character, a kind and loving daughter, wife, mother and sister, and enjoying the highest regard of every one knowing her, the decedent will be missed in the community and her untimely death will be sincerely deplored. The bereaved family will be sympathized with by their many friends in their hour of great mourning. Funeral services will be conducted at St Titus' church at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning, the interment following in St Catherine's cemetery."
