William Andrew Brown was the only child of John and Amanda Matthews Brown. He emigrated to Clay county Missouri abt 1855 after the death of his father. He married first, Wretty Ann Suttle, she died in 1869. His second marriage was to Diannah Albright the 27th of April 1871 in Clay county Missouri. They had two children: George William and Rebecca Diana. Diana died in 1882 and he married for the third time Hannah Ann Moseley Hair. William and Hannah were married in Ness City the 23 day of June 1885.
