Arminta was the second daughter of William Andrew and Wretty Ann Suttle Brown. Her twin brother was Thomas Allen and her older sibling was Amanda Elizabeth. Their mother died in Haynesville, Clinton, Missouri.
Thomas and "Minty" came to Kansas with their father and his second wife, Dinnah Albright, half brother, George William and half sister, Rebecca Diana about 1881 and settled in Danby, Ness, Kansas.
Arminta married Harry Herbert Hair at her father's home the 16th of Feb 1890 in Danby, Ness, Kansas.
