FREDERICKSBURG — Mass for Mrs. Lorraine Masters, 73, of Kerrville, who died Saturday in a Fredericksburg hospital, will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Notre Dame Catholic Church, with Msgr. Lawrence Walsh officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Rosary will be recited tonight at 7 p.m. in the Grimes Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Jose Baldcras officiating. Born Nov. 9, 1919 in New Orleans, La., Mrs. Masters had been a resident of Kerrville since 1964, formerly residing in New Orleans. A member of the Catholic Church, she was also a member of St. Thomas Family Guild, Recreation Center Committee, Notre Dame Altar Society, Texas Governor's Task Force for the Handicapped, and had received the Archbishop Furcy Award for exceptional service to the Arch Diocese of San Antonio. She married John E. Masters on Feb. 28, 1942 in New Orleans. He survives. Other survivors include four daughters, Carol M. Stoltz of Reston, Va., Lisa Bishop of Germany, Tina Green of Corrizozo, N.M., and Mira Emery of Killeen; a son, Greg Masters of Ogden, Utah; a sister, Mrs. Ethyl Fry of San Antonio; a brother, Ernest Carriere of Slidel, La.; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Grimes Funeral Chapel in Kerrville is in charge of arrangements.
