Ramona was the baby and the only daughter of Volen and Leafy Townley. Three big brothers and a father that doted on her was a way of life. She was born and raised in East Gadsden. She graduated from Glencoe High School in 1946.
She was multi-talented, capable of doing just about anything to which she put her mind . She was a gifted artist and shared many portraits and paintings with family. Ramona has several limited edition prints among her creations. She also shared her husbands love of photography.
A seamstress unrivaled, she could "put together" anything. Beautiful dresses and gowns flew from her mind to completion without a hitch. Impeccable suits for her husband and son seemed to appear routinely.
She could make draperies, home decorations and upholster just about anything. Ramona had a keen eye for fashion and exhibited it in all her endeavors.
A devout Christian, she praised God for all her favors with a gifted voice. With her family she sang praises where ever, whenever needed or asked to exalt her Redeemer.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and servant of the Lord.
