Late minister of this church and principal of Charleston College. He died suddenly after three days Illness, of a bilious fever, leaving a wife and six children in Charleston, and a father and mother, brothers, and a sister in Scotland.

He was born in Fifeshire in Scotland was educated at Edinburg and died in Charleston / In the 39th year of his age. As a testimony of their love and reverence. This frail memorial has been erected by his bereaved and mourning congregation.
