Mr. Bauer, who was a lifelong resident of Ritzville, died Tuesday. He graduated RHS in 1933 and attended Cheney Normal School for two years. He later worked on the family farm until he joined the Army in 1942. He served until 1945 and returned to farming for many years. He was a member of the Ritzville Eagles Lodge and also helped manage the Eagles Little League team. He was a member of the American Legion, Philadelphia Congregational Church and several bowling leagues in Ritzville, Odessa and Moses Lake.
His wife of 16 years, Ida, died in 1991. His survivors include a stepson and two stepdaughters and numerous nieces and nephews.
