GEORGE BALDWIN
George Edwin Baldwin was born at West Dover, Vt., August 9, 1853 and departed this life December 22, 1928 at the age of 75 years, 4 months and 3 days.
As a child he moved with his father's family to the state of Iowa where he resided till he reached maturity and then as a young man he came to Kansas in 1874 where he continued to reside until the summons came for him. In the year 1884, August 9, he was married to Elmyra Cunningham and a family of five children was born to them. Two of the children died in early life. Three children and his wife beside three grandchildren remain to mourn his departure. In 1893 he was converted and united with the Ada Methodist church to which he remained a faithful member.
For a period of years in his younger days he taught school, then turned his whole attention to farming.
In his death the neighborhood has lost one who always held the respect and esteem of those who knew him and his family a kind and loving husband and father.
