BERNARD G. YORK
Bernard G. York, 55, of 955 North 22nd street, died this morning at Holy
Family hospital after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Pfeffer funeral home,
the Rev. E. A. Radey officiating. Burial plans will be announced later pending
word from his wife, now residing in Czechoslovakia.
Mr. York was born in Poland in 1892. He came to this country when he was 17
years old. He married Mary Hajner 25 years ago. Mr. York was a member of the
American Legion and the Eagles. He was an employe of the Eddy Paper company
and had been employed at the shipyards.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, (private), both residing at
home; three sons, (private) and a sister and several brothers living in Poland.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Sunday noon until time of
services.
