Emma Josephine Black, 85 of Tuscumbia, died Friday, February 17, 2012. Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2012 at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. The burial will follow in Guy Cemetery with Ed White officiating the service.

Mrs. Black was a native and lifelong resident of Colbert County. She was a member of Valdosta Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Bruce Black, her son-in-law, Bobby Poth, her parents, brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Black is survived by her daughters, Sue Evans and husband, Robert of Millbrook, Betty Coburn and husband, Roy of Tuscumbia, and Carol Joy Poth of Littleville; sisters, Jewel Helms, CA and Margaret Gaddis, TX; grandchildren, Tommy Evans and wife, Jewel, Amy Johnson and husband, Matt, Michael Evans, Jerry Evans, Byron Coburn and Callie Rose Poth; great grandchildren, Alyssa O'Steen, Neal Evans, Julian Evans, Nolan Evans, Emma Evans, Allie Coburn and Delaney Johnson.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Tommy Evans, Michael Evans, Jerry Evans, Byron Coburn, Matt Johnson and nephew, Ross Willingham. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Evans and Roy Coburn.

The family of Mrs. Black expresses special thanks to Station 3 staff at Mitchell Hollingsworth for all the love and care given to Mrs. Black.
