She was born January 3, 1921 in Grampian, daughter of Thomas and Esther Walburn McKeown.
She married Howard Weirich on November 3, 1951 and he preceded her in death on July 12, 1963. On May 27, 1967 she married Paul J. Weis and he preceded her in death on January 22, 2000. She resided in Johnsonburg for 13 years and Wilcox for over 50 years.
Mrs. Weis attended Grampian schools and St. Bonanventure Church in Grampian. She was also a member of the Penn-Elk Chapter of DAR. She enjoyed quilting, family reunions, and bingo with friends.
Along with both of her husbands, Weis owned and operated a restaurant business for many years.
She is survived by one step-son, Eugene Weis and his wife Helen of Ridgway; and one step-daughter, Joyce, Mrs. Larry Uplinger of Ridgway. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Johnsonburg residents Janet Geer; Eileen Fedorko; Ivanell Mecca; and Virginia, Mrs. Dan Thorwart.
In addition to her parents and both husbands, Weis was preceded in death by five brothers, James, William, Thomas, John, Kenneth, and Delbert McKeown; and eight sisters, Clara Caldwell, Doris Danvir, Thelma Vanetta, Blanche Flegal, Edna Galbraith, Mildred Geer, Eletha Redden, and Mary Liddle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg on Wednesday, October 8 at 10 a.m. with Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor, officiating.
Interment at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Ridgway.
