Funeral services for Lorena B. Ware, 92, of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Fluitt officiating.

Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Ware died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater.

She was born Sept. 6, 1917, in Nolan, TX. She married Richard "Ham" Ware Oct. 4, 1930, in Nolan County, Texas. She was a member of Lamar Street Church of Christ. She and her husband were self-employed in the painting, sheetrock and paper hanging business for many years before retiring.

Survivors include two sons, L.D. (Curly) Ware of Sweetwater and Larry Dean Ware of Leander, Texas; and one daughter, Linda Hillyer of Cedar Park, Texas; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C.M.W. and Mamie Evans; her husband, Richard (Ham) Ware; one granddaughter, Diane Ware; two brothers; and numerous half-sisters and half-brothers.
