Mrs. Bailey died Oct. 1, 2004, in Blanco.
She was born May 10, 1927, in Brooksmith, Brown County, the daughter of Charles and Ruth Walton.
She married Johnny Bailey on Nov. 8, 1947, in Waco. She was a member of the First Baptist Church-Silver Creek in Burnet.
She retired as a chief operator from Sprint Telephone and worked for Mid-Tex and Cen-Tex Telephone before it became Sprint.
Survivors include her husband of Burnet; a son, Robert Bailey of Killeen; three daughters, Carolyn Johnson of Plano, Jean O'Connor of Plano and Lynn Bailey of Killeen; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, J.B. Walton and Charley Walton; and two sisters, Billie and Rita.
