CAVOUR -- Mrs. J. H. Alvey died suddenly today, Wednesday, about 10:30 a.m. at her home in Cavour. Cause of death was a heart attack.
Mrs. Alvey, 74, was born Nov. 7, 1880, in Wanatah, Ind. In 1900 she was married to J. H. Alvey.
Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas Bloodgood of Cavour; three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Edson Jaques, Hammond, Ind.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed Wednesday. The body is at the Welter Chapel in Huron.

CAVOUR -- Funeral services for Mrs. J. H. Alvey, 74, who died Wednesday are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Welter's Chapel.
Burial will be in the family lot in Riverside Cemetery, Huron.
The body was taken today, Friday, from the Welter Funeral Home to the Alvey home in Cavour where it will remain until time of the funeral.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Jack Belger, George Anderson, John Kanth, H. C. Tompers, Bill Benson, Harry Lindquist. Active pallbearers will be: Ned Lalher, Eugene Maguire, A. J. Dollenbacher, R. V. Small, Glen Atz, Bill Seeman.
