Charlotte Valdéz, age 89, of Santa Fé, NM, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2011.
Charlotte was born on August 28, 1922 in Rio Puerco, NM the daughter of Emilia Serrano and Placido Archuleta.
Charlotte married Victor "Tisnado" Valdéz in December of 1977 in Santa Fé, NM.
Victor preceded her in death on March 6, 1987.
Charlotte was also preceded in death by parents, Emilia Serrano and Placido Archuleta, two sons, Joseph Padilla and Eloy Padilla, three daughters, Rita García, Vera Harris and Mary Valdéz, granddaughter, Emilia Luján, grandson, Juanito Luján, five sisters, Simona Herrera, Manuelita Gallegos, Adelina García, Elena Salazar and Frances Padilla and one brother, Frutoso Padilla.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Gina Luján and her husband, Juan, her sons, Juan Valdéz, Abran López Padilla and Bobby García, a step-daughter, Toni Rodríguez, one brother, Harold Archuleta, 29 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be recited on October 12, 2011 at the Rivera Family Funeral Options Chapel. Graveside services will be held on October 13, 2011 at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, where she was placed with her beloved husband, Victor.
Her family expresses their deepest gratitude to the Sol Amor Hospice, Erlene Montoya, Jill Frankel, Chaplain Steven Tredt and the staff of Rio Rancho Care and Rehabilitation Center for all their loving kindness and care of our Mother.
