Two From S. A. Die In Crash

A San Antonio oilman and a former Frost Bros. fashion coordinator were killed Sunday night in a two-car, head-on collision in La Porte, southeast of Houston.

Three other persons, including a San Antonio attorney, were critically injured in the crash about 8:10 p.m.

Killed were Walter Tynan, Jr., 39, of 339 W. Hollywood, and Miss Harriette Boardman, 36, of 809 W. Summit. They were pronounced dead at 8:30 p.m. at San Jacinto Memorial Hospital in Baytown.

THREE HURT

In critical condition at the hospital Monday were William Rowland, 40, of 439 Corona; Miss Barbara Lee Clements, 32, Houston, and John S. Copeland, 38, LaMarque.

Walter Tynan, III, 39, of San Antonio, TX, was a prominent local oil lease broker, and the son of Walter Tynan, Jr., former state senator and district attorney, who died Jan. 20, 1965, at the age of 67.

Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 1965, in the Georgian Chapel at Porter Loring Mortuary. Requiem Mass was at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 1965, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, with interment in San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery.

La Porte Patrolman David Bramlett said he was chasing a car driven by John S. Copeland when it collided with Tynan's auto on a rain-slick street. Nowland and the two women were passengers in Tynan's car.

THEIR INJURIES

Nowland suffered a broken leg, lacerations, and internal inuries. Miss Clements suffered a possible fractured back and lacrations, and Copeland had a broken leg, lacerations, a fractured skull and internal injuries.

Survivors include his widow Mrs. Eleanor Tynan; two sons Dennis and Timothy; five daughters, Cathleen, Patricia, Molly, Kristine and Sally; a brother, Richard Tynan, and two sisters.

HOUSTON POSITION

Miss Boardman, who left Frost Bros. last November, was employed as a fashion coordiator at a Houston department store.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Louise Boardman, and an aunt, Mrs. David Kelly, both of San Antonio.

Funeral services are pending at Riebe Funeral Home.
