GLENN EVERETT TURNER

A funeral for Glenn Everett Turner of Hillsboro will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Sunset Chapel of Donelson, Sewell and Mathews Mortuary in Hillsboro. He died in his home Saturday of causes related to emphysema. He was 80.

Mr. Turner was born Sept. 25, 1911, in Laurel and was reared and educated in Hillsboro. After attending Pacific University in Forest Grove for two years, he attended a technical school in Madison, Wis. He worked as a logger, welder and machinist. Mr. Turner also owned and operated a small machine shop in Forest Grove for several years.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Sylvia; sons, Matt of Palmer, Alaska, and Jeffrey of Turlock, Calif.; sisters, Leah Westerman and Winona Russell, both of Hillsboro; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the American Diabetes Association or a favorite charity.
