Mr. Troxler was born in Knoxville, Tenn. and spent his early years in that area before coming to Delaware County in 1930. He served in the Army during World War II.
He was employed at Delco Battery nearly 40 years before his retirement in 1970. He was a member of East Sixteenth Church of God, Delaware Lodge 46, F&AM, Delco Sympathy Club, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his wife, Reba Hayes Troxler; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Bernadean) Oxley, and Mrs. Dirk (Wanda) Smith, both of Muncie; his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Troxler, Farmland; three brothers, Shad, Anthony, and Herschall Troxler, all of Muncie; three half-sisters, Mary Ambrose, Lola Hubbs, and Atilla Hunley, all of Tennesse; and two granddaughters.
Services will be at Meeks Mortuary at 10 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Herbert J. Miller, pastor of East Sixteenth Church of God, officiating. Interment will follow in Elm Ridge. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and any time before the services Thursday. Delaware Lodge 46 will conduct memorial services at the mortuary 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
