Emma Frances German (nee Thrasher) was born in Fulton County, Illinois, October 15, 1845, and passed away in Havana, Illinois, October 24, 1917 at the age of 72 years and 9 days. The deceased was united in marriage to the late Simeon German May 6, 1866, and to this union eight children were born.

Two of this number, with the husband, precede the mother in death namely, Frank and Elizabeth.

The surviving children are as follows: Mrs. Mary McNeil of McDonogh County, Illinois, Mr. Len German, Mrs. Delilah Bell, Mrs. Josie Bohm, Mr. Ralph German, Mrs. Carrie Bassett, an adopted daughter, Clara German, all of Havana.

Besides her children she leaves two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Kate Burrows of Fulton County, Illinois, Mrs. Jane Hosack of Alexander, Nebraska, James T. Thrasher of Cuba, Illinois and Leonard Thrasher of Alexander, Nebraska.
Mrs. German has been a resident of Havana for 25 years.

The funeral was held from the home, 1038 South Eleventh Street, Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, J.G. Little officiating. Internment in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
