Brooklet - Mrs. Sula Mae Newman, 70, died Tuesday at Bulloch Memorial Hospital in Statesboro after a long illness. The lifelong Bulloch County resident was a member of Brooklet Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sons, Kermit Newman of Statesboro, Herman Newman of Watertown, N.Y., Herbert Newman of Riverdale and Hinton Newman of Brooklet; a brother, John Thompson of Statesboro; and 15 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. today at Brooklet Primitive Baptist Church, burial in Brooklet Cemetery. Smith-Tillman Mortuary of Statesboro.
