She was born February 5, 1897 in Minnesota Lake, MN to Holland James Ledbetter and Emma Grace Harmon.
She married Earl Eugene Swain on November 11, 1923 in Spooner, Wisconsin.
She was a member of the LDS Church. She came from Minnesota to California in 1940 and ran a motel in Compton and a dining room in 29 Palms. She spent a lifetime caring for children and pursuing many and varied interests including lapidary and orinthology. She was an avid rock hound and gardener and was just three weeks from her 100th birthday.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Frodsham of Farmington, Utah and Joanne Bain of El Monte, California, 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Raymond, and a daughter, Gloria.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 1997 at 10 a.m. in the Farmington Fourth Ward Chapel, 1395 South 200 East. Friends may call on Friday evening at the Chapel from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and again on Saturday morning an hour prior to the services.
Interment-Farmington City Cemetery.
