William M. Steill, 77, retired electrical
contractor, died Thurs., Dec. 27,
1979, in St. Elizabeth Hospital. He had
been in ill health four years and
hospitalized one month.
A native and life resident of
Lafayette, he worked as an electrician
and contractor, retiring in 1972. In 1922
he was married to Pauline McCormick.
He was a member of Eagles Lodge,
West Lafayette Auxiliary Police and
Knights of Columbus.
Surviving with the wife a re a
daughter, Norma Jeanne Steill of
Arlington, Va.; one son, J. Michael
Steill of Hoffman Estates, Ill., and a
brother, John J. Steill of Lafayette and
several grandchildren.
Funeral ma ss was Saturday in St.
Mary Cathedral, Lafayette, where he
was a member. Interment was in St
Boniface Cemetery.
