Marguerite Sparks Burris, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 13, 2013. She was born on August 11, 1923 in Washington, Indiana to the late Arlie and Iscle Mae McCafferty Sparks.
Marguerite married Gilbert Burris on March 4, 1945 at Central Christian Church in Washington, Indiana and they spent 68 wonderful years dedicated to each other. She was a member of the Linwood Christian Church in Indianapolis since 1969.
Marguerite is survived by her husband, Gilbert Burris; children, Joyce (Floyd) Gant, Kenneth Burris, Mack Burris, and Ka (Steve) Wright; grandchildren, Allison (Scott) Marlar, Kraig (Sarah) Galbreath, Alicia (Jason) Fairbanks, Duncan Burris, Daryn Ka Galbreath, Ashley Gant, and Jordan Burris. She also enjoyed the love of her four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert and Bill Sparks, and several members of the Burris Family.
