Elizabeth Jane Mauck Sours, 62, of Route 3, Berryville, died Friday in Winchester Medical Center. She was born Feb. 23, 1923, in Lurav, the daughter of Samuel J. and Mabel C. Bywaters Mauck.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Berryville, Good Sam, and the National Campers and Hikers Association. She married John W. Sours on April 24, 1944. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, John W. Sours, Jr. of Berryville; a daughter, Sally Morrow of Berryville; and four grandchildren.

A funeral was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Enders Funeral Home, with Rev. William Ingram officiating. Burial was in Green Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were C. T. Hardesty IV, Wayne N. Hardesty, W. Christopher Levi, William L. Renner, Robert D. Baker, Jr., and J. Norman Asbury. Memorial contributions may be made to Enders Rescue Squad, Berryville. (Taken from the Winchester Star – Page 2)
