Charles Snyder was the son of Philip Snyder and Lena Geist.

He married (first) Sarah A. Dinger in 1871 in Ringgold Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.

He married (second) Minerva Amanda Caylor on 24 Nov 1895 in Ringgold Twp., Jefferson Co., PA. The marriage ceremony was performed by A. B. Howard, Justice of the Peace.

Charles was a Farmer. He also served as the Constable (Sheriff) in Ringgold Township for many years.

He was the oldest living resident of Timblin at the time of his death, at 87 years. Charles was buried 10 Dec 1938.
