A Cullman pilot, Technical Sergeant Robert Pearce Sizemore, 32, was killed in an automobile accident on July 13 at 12:30am - some 50 miles from Donaldson Air Force Base, Louisiana, where he was stationed with the Air Force.

Sergeant Sizemore was taking a friend home, after a ball game, when his automobile was involved in a three car accident. Two others were killed in the wreck.

This Cullman reared service man had been with the Air Force some 15 years, had flown many missions in Europe during World War II and also all over the Far East, while based in Japan for two years.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs Bernice Sizemore; one brother, Richard Sizemore, two sisters, Mrs Bertis Cornelius, of Henderson, Nevada and Mrs Douglass Holmes.

Funeral services were held at New Hope Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 17th, with Reverend W H Falkner officiating and Moss Service directed the interment in the adjoining cemetery.
