"Mrs. Mabel Barkley, 45, formerly of Veedersburg, wife of Joseph Barkley, Covington, died Monday, June 5, 1939, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. She was born at Rossville, Ind., June 18, 1893, the daughter of George and Eva Sheets.

Surviving are the husband and six children, Mrs. Elfleet Gardner, Dearborn, Mich., Mrs. Kathleen Dewlin, Indianapolis, Carl, Edith, Richard, and Patricia Ann, at home. A brother, Albert Sheets, Veedersburg, and two sisters, Mrs. Stella Clawson, Veedersburg, and Mrs. Ella Charters, Waynetown, are survivals.
