Elbridge Garry Sharp, 61, of rural Lafayette, died at 7:15 PM Sunday [April 5, 1981] in Lafayette Home Hospital, where he had been a patient one day after suffering a heart attack in his home. Born at Monticello, he was reared in Frankfort, and came to Lafayette in 1960. In 1941, he married Alice May Arnett, at Frankfort; she survives. Mr. Sharp was in maintenance at Ivy Tech. He attended Linnwood Church of Christ, and prior to coming to Lafayette, was a deacon at Westside Christian Church in Frankfort.

Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Carolyn (Mrs. Elmer) Beringer of Lafayette and Linda (Mrs. Robert) Rendon of Kansas City, MO; one son, Gary E. Sharp of Lafayette; three sisters, Dolly (Mrs. Earl) Taylor of Indianapolis, Ruth (Mrs. William) Bozworth of Frankfort, and Sylvia (Mrs. Richard) Burton of Ohio; three brothers, Quincy Sharp of Frankfort, Ernest Sharp of Brookston, and Milton Sharp of California; and nine grandchildren. A brother and sister preceded in death.
