Lizzie Mae Crouch, 92, of Corsicana, passed away on May 28, 2013. Visitation will be at 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2013, at Missionary Baptist Church with Bill Dollar officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Fairfield.

Lizzie was born in Fairfield, Texas, to the late John Carter and Sarah Mabel Burton Scruggs. She was a faithful member of Missionary Baptist Church where she loved to serve the Lord. Lizzie spent many of her days sewing and she loved to spend time working in a garden or planting flowers in her yard.

Lizzie was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar (Judson) Crouch; daughter, Mary Jane Bland; sisters, Mary Lee Lander, Ellen Gunter, and Jewell Morris.

She is survived by her son, Richard Crouch, of Corsicana; daughter, Virginia Morris, of Corsicana; grandson, Tom Crouch and fiancée, Christina Reyes, of Corsicana; granddaughter, Mary Pierce and husband, David, of Teague; great-grandson and great-granddaughter, Henry and Audrey Raney, both of Corsicana; brothers, Billy Newman Scruggs and wife, Doris, Clarence Scruggs, all of Fairfield, Clinton Scruggs and wife, Mollie, of Teague, and Lynn Carter Scruggs, of Durango, Colorado; sisters, Fay Powers and husband, Bill, Sarah Ann Green and husband, George, all of Fairfield, and Grace Pannell, of Garland; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
