Dorothy F. Klasen, age 89, of Wonder Lake, died on January 15, 2014 at her home.
She was born on December 26, 1924 in Chicago, to Frank and Mary (Lazarowicz) Schwaller.
On December 30, 1944, she married John H. Klasen in Chicago.
Mrs. Klasen is survived by her children, John (Barbara) T. Klasen of Wonder Lake, Kathy (George) Musser of Largo, Florida, and Sheri (John) Goorsky of Huntley, Illinois. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Michael (Erica) Wiseman, Tammy (Gary) Herkert, Richard (Kellie) Klasen, John E. (Julianne) Klasen, James Klasen, Steven Wiseman, Nicholas Kostalek, Joseph Kostalek, John J. Goorsky, and Michael Goorsky. Great-grandchildren, Kailey, Joshua, Zoe, Abbie, Ashley, Sophie, Grace, Johnny Ray, Trevor, Michael, and Violet also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John; and a son, Richard M. Klasen.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry, Illinois 60050. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 18, 2013 at 10:00 AM at The Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 W. Bull Valley Rd., McHenry, Illinois 60050. Interment will be at church cemetery.
