Larry Lee Schroeder, 55, of Caldwell, died Nov. 14, 2001, at a Boise hospital of natural causes. Larry was born Aug.6, 1946, in Caldwell, the son of Harry and Betty Schroeder. The family made their home in Jerome, Washington and Meridian, before moving to Caldwell where he was in the first class to graduate from Vallivue High School in 1964. He married Carol Bethel Nov. 15, 1969, in Winnemucca. Larry worked in construction after high school and later operated his own underground cable construction business for 12 years. He was very proud of the fact that he had designed and built his own cable plow with his father and uncle, Bill Benham. He later worked for Hood-Co, DAV-CO and then DAS-CO of Idaho for the last 13 years. For the past six years he served as the company's eastern Division Manager in Pocatello. He was very proud of his crews and thought of them not only as friends but as family and would help them any way possible.

Larry is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carol; his children, Shawna, Rob and Stacy; and two beautiful granddaughters, Alexa and Taylor, who were his motorcycle buddies; sisters, Carol Hoadley and Kathy Arnold and her husband, Dan and their families; his mother-in-law, Shirley Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Vicki (Buntley) Wilcox and family and Vonnie (Sam) Brazil; a brother-in-law, Mike Bethel and family; several aunts, uncles and cousins and special friends, Bruce and Frannie Lands, Randy and Chris Hoadley and Pat and Diana Wallace. He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles.
