Clarence L. Schmidt, 80, Sycamore, died Feb. 13, 1982, at Sycamore Municipal Hospital.

He was born March 12, 1901, in Squaw Grove, the son of Henry and Mary (Larson) Schmidt. He worked for several years at Continental Telephone Co. He was a member of the Sycamore Moose Club for 60 years, and also was a member of the Sycamore United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; one step-daughter, Mrs. Charles (June) Nowlen of Lodi, Wis.; four brothers, Dorrell of Cortland, Albert of DeKalb, Charles of Virgil, and Clifford of Genoa; one sister, Bernice Parsons of Sycamore; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Van Natta Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. C. Alfred Patten officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Sycamore. Friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
