Louis "Rocky" Roquet, 71, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, at home.
He was born March 11, 1940 in Fayette, son of Richard and Minnie Holtzman Roquet. He married Cathy Czuba on March 15, 1977 in Galena, Ill.
Rocky was employed with the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for many years.
Survivors include: his wife; three sons, Neil (Suzanne) of Ga., Michael (Ranae) and Paul, both of Waterloo; three daughters, Denise Murray of Miss. and Emily Roquet and Ami Roquet, both of Waterloo; six grandchildren; his mother of Waterloo; three brothers, Fred of Mt. Auburn, Frank (Rose) and Stephen (Cheryl) both of Evansdale; and four sisters, Frances (Dean) Smith of Kan., Beverly (Gerry) Frost and Barbara Roquet, both of Waterloo and Debra (Larry) Joel of Ames.
Preceded in death by: his father; and a sister.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Poyner Township Cemetery with burial there, where full military rites will be conducted by Evansdale Amvets Post 31, Waterloo Amvets Post 19 and the Iowa Army Honor Guard.
