Funeral services for Elizabeth Roden, 307 South Second Street, Honey Grove, were scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, December 17, in Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Chapel, Honey Grove. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery. The Reverend Bobby Holt and the Reverend Earl Castle conducted the services.

Mrs. Roden was born January 15, 1913 in Calvin, La. She was the daughter of Andrew Jackson Lambert and Hulda Carroll.

Mrs. Roden was a retired cook for the Fannin County Jail, a member of the First Baptist Church in Honey Grove, and had been a Honey Grove resident since 1930.

She passed away Monday, December 14, 1987, in St. Joseph's Hospital in Paris after an extended illness.

She is survived by one sister: Etta Mae Hollowell of the home; three nephews; one niece, fourteen grand nieces and nephews; and thirty great grand nieces and nephews.

One brother, Oscar Lambert, preceded her in death.
