Etta Mae Hollowell, age 79, of 307 South 2nd Street, Honey Grove, passed away suddenly at 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 1989, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paris.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 3rd, at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Chapel in Honey Grove with the Rev. Bobby Holt officiating. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove.

Pallbearers were Staley Seale, Jess Smith, Tommy Merrell, Ronnie Clark, Marvin Gaither and Billy Mac Moreland.

Mrs. Hollowell was a member of the First Baptist Church at Honey Grove, and a retired restaurant owner and cook.

She was born at Winnfield, Louisiana, August 11, 1909, the daughter of Andrew Jackson Lambert and Hulda Carroll Lambert.

She was married August 27, 1938, at Hugo, Oklahoma, to Farris Julius Hollowell, who preceded her in death on November 29, 1969.

She is survived by a daughter, Louise Williams; three sons, James Fletcher Sr., J. C. Hollowell and John David Hollowell all of Honey Grove; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren.

One sister, Elizabeth Roden and one brother, Oscar Lambert, preceded her in death.
