She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church in Louisville. She was a retired antiques dealer. She united in marriage to H. Lee Blackford September 9, 1948. He preceded her in death March 10, 1961. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Sandra B. and Joseph Clark of Spartanburg, South Carolina; one granddaughter: LeeAnn Clark of New York City; cousins: Karl Schmidt and wife, Linda of Louisville; Charlotte Young and husband, Jack of High Point, North Carolina and several other cousins and relatives. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry Wayne Blackford, one brother and one sister: Woodrow Puryear and Pearl P. Barnett.
