Alta L Price Flowers was born 15 Mary 1889 in Madera County, California to John Louis Price and Belle Zora Stratton Price. She was one of 4 children born to them.

According to the 1900 US Census the family lived in Township 1, Madera County, California. John & Belle had been married 23 years. All four of their children are living with them: William is a Farm Laborer and Louis, Alta & Lucy are all attending school. John is a Farmer. He owns his farm but its mortgaged. The entire family can read & write.

Alta married Albertos Harding Flowers in 1906.

By 1910, they had one daughter, Arlene Alberta Flowers. Albertus was a Grain Farmer & he rented his farm.

The family moved to Burnham, Pawnee County, Oklahoma by January 1920 and they are living next to Bert's sister, Vada Griesel & her husband, Charley. Both Bert & Charles are Farmers. Alta & Bert have 6 children: Arlene Alberta Flowers, Clair Erving Flowers, Marion Albert Flowers, Mary Flowers, Williar Earl Flowers & Lucille Flowers.

I'm not certain how long the family stayed in Oklahoma; however, by April 1930 they have returned to California and are living in Waterford, Stanislaus County, California. The 1930 US Census shows that Albert is a Farmer. They rent their farm for $25. The family does own a radio.

Somewhere between 1935 & 1940, Alta & Albertos leave the Rural life of Stanislaus County, California and move to Tuolumne County, California where Albertos is a Caretaker of a Private Estate. The 1940 US Census shows that Albertos has a 5th grade education and that Alta has an 8th grade education.
