A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow for Emma Lois Pitre, 59, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, who died at 11:47 a.m. June 9, 1997.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Burial will be in Hebert Cemetery in Golden Meadow.
She was the wife of Claude Pitre Sr.; mother of Claude Jr., Claudia, Evans and Tate Pitre, Dorla Serigny and Claudine Blanchard; sister of Adam Gisclair. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Antoine and Alcida Doucet Gisclair; and a son, Todd Pitre.
