Born April 4, 1915 in Hyde, PA she was the daughter of Lee L. and Geneieve (Whitesel) Peoples.
She had worked for the Clearfield School District in the Cafeteria and also was a cook for the Clearfield Elks Lodge. She was the member of Pine Grove Behtel Presbyterian Church. Mrs Haney was honored at a family reunion held this past summer with eight-nine decendents where she was crowned Queen of Hearts at Mt. Laurel for 2006.
She is survived by three daughters and a son, Verna J. Thompson, Clearfield, A. Joann Wisor and her companion Joe Criteli of Lockport, NY, E. Joyce Shirey and her husband Ardell of Clearfield and Jerry B. Haney and his wife Patricia of Phoenix AZ, twenty grandchildren and forty eight great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. Also surviving a sister Doris Raab of Clearafield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Maurice C. "Dutch" Haney whom she married March 24, 1933 and who died December 14, 1999, a son Vaughn Haney and an infant granddaughter, three sisters Velma Haney, Jean Broad and Elsie Peoples, and four brothers Clifford Peoples and Wendall Peoples, Darl Peoples and Lee Peoples, Jr.
