She was born Sept. 17, 1895 in the town of Brothertown, daughter of the late John and Mathilda Grimmsman Claussen, and attended schools in New Holstein. On Nov. 19, 1914 she married Alfred Paulsen in New Holstein. He preceded her in death. She was a housewife most of her life. Mrs. Paulsen was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, new Holstein, its women’s fellowship and the New Holstein Senior Citizens.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Goebel and Mrs. Lucille Aggen, both of New Holstein, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
