She was born Nov. 2, 1915 in New Holstein, a daughter of the late Alfred and Dora Claussen Paulsen. She attended New Holstein High School, graduating with the class of 1933.
She was employed at the Leverenz Shoe Company, New Holstein for 30 years, after which she became the nutrition program Meal site manager in New Holstein for 15 years.
On Oct. 9, 1937, she married Alex Goebel in New Holstein. He preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 1978. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, New Holstein and the New Holstein Senior Citizens.
Survivors are one son, Richard (Ginny) Goebel, Rolling Meadows, Ill.; one daughter, Margaret “Peggy” (Dale) Hanneman, Appleton; two grandchildren, Timothy Goebel and Shea “Alex” Hanneman; and one sister, Lucille Aggen, New Holstein.
Funeral services were at St. John’s UCC, New Holstein, the Rev. Janice Davis officiated. Burial in New Holstein City Cemetery.
