Mr. and Mrs. B.B. Parker have been notified by the War Department that their son, Seaman First Class Beauregard B. Parker has been killed in action while serving in the Pacific theater.
Seaman Parker attended Edmunds High School and received his training at Bainbridge, Md., Puerto Rico; Norfolk, Va., and in the state of Washington.
Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Clara Parker and Mrs. H.L. Davis of Baltimore, Md., two brothers, Arthur Parker of Charleston and Pfc. Adrian Parker serving in Germany.
Before his enlistment in the Navy on Feb 28, Seaman Parker was employed by the Charleston Navy yard. He was 18 years old.
