Lucy and William Malott purchased land in Platte Co Dec 28 1865 but sold it on Sept 18 1875 and made the move out to California.
The document read from William M. Malott and Lucy Malott his wife, "all south half of the south half of the southeast quarter of Section 34, twp 52, range 35 containing 40 acres; also the south west quarter of the south west quarter of section 35, twp 52, range 35 containing 40 acres; it being the same land on which the party now lives." Part of this land I know Lucy (Heath) Malott inherited when her father died in Nov 1864 (a one-seventh portion of his land).
Jessie Fremont Malott married 15 Sept 1880 in Compton, Los Angeles Co CA, Max Nathan Newmark b. 31 Oct 1854 Prussia, the son of Nathan Newmark and his wife Ernestine Kurkinsky for Loebau, West Prussia, members of a prominent extended Jewish family who were instrumental in the early years of Los Angeles history. Jessie and Max Nathan Newmark had 3 children: Ora N Newmark b. 29 July 1881, Roy Edgar Newmark b. 7 Apr 1884, and Frances Newmark b. 21 Apr 1888.
Death Cert stated that Jessie died at 11:15 pm March 20 1955 and her residence was 635 S Hobart Blvd, Los Angeles, CA and that she was cremated at the Rosedale Crematory and ashes returned to undertaker, most likely given to family.
