Mrs. Marie Adkins of Wheelersburg died Monday at Mercy hospital after a lingering illness since July 1947.

She was born Oct. 18, 1916, and is survived by her husband Dennis, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Nance of New Boston, three brothers, Lewis and Donald at home and William, serving with the army in Tokyo, and one sister, Mrs. Ralph Staten of Dayton.

The body was to be taken to the home of a brother-in-law, Russell Adkins, 2360 Charles st, at 1 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at the Charles st address Wednesday at 2 p.m.

Services will be under the direction of Sowards funeral home with Rev. W. M. Hart officiating. Interment will be in Lucasville cemetery.

The name of her father is William Martin Nance. Martin's parents were Frank Nance and Rozella Goody. Aurelia Belle was the second wife of Martin Nance. The mother of Marie died giving birth to Marie. Her grandfather was Morris Radabaugh. They raised her until Martin remarried and could take care of her. The name of Marie's mother is something like Lola or Laura.
