Many researchers say Margaret d. 8 Nov. 1837, but this is an incorrect date achieved by adding the death age on the tombstone (as reported incorrectly 33 years 6 months 2 days) to her birthdate (also incorrectly reported on the tombstone as 6 May 1804). The tombstone actually reads: "Born May 1, 1804 aged 38 years six month and 2 days."

It is also influenced by the fact that Polly married John Norris 16 April 1829, Wytheville, Wythe Co., VA; and she and he are shown in the 1830 Census with two small boys. That was only one year later.
