MRS. HENRIETTA SAXTON
Dies at Levi Lowmaster Home, West of Town, Thursday Night
Mrs. Henrietta Saxton, died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Lowmaser, west of town Christmas night at 10 o'clock. Death resulted from the infirmities of age. She had been an invalid for the past three years.
Mrs. Saxton, whose maiden name was Henrietta Myers, was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Myers, both deceased, and was born January 13, 1835, at Carlisle, Pa., being in her eighty fifth year. She came to this state with her parents in 1845, and for many years resided in this city. She was married first to Robert Patterson, who was killed in the Civil War. Her second marriage was to John Saxton, who died 18 years ago. One daughter, Emma Lowmaster, survives. Three children are deceased, one brother, William Myers, of this city also survives.
Mrs. Saxton was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a woman esteemed by all who knew her.
The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Lowmaster home and at 2:30 at the Presbyterian Church, conduced by Rev. Elmer H. Douglass. Burial will be made in Old Mission Cemetery.
