SYLVIA JANE MOUNTS
Sylvia J. Mounts, 76, of Claysville R.D. 1, died in the Washington County Home for Aged Women Thursday, November 18, 1971, at 6:15 a.m. after a lingering illness.
She was born August 19, 1895, at Good Intent, a daughter of Jonathan and Dessie Miller Scott, and lived in the Claysville community most of her life.
Mrs. Mounts was a member of the Taylorstown United Presbyterian Church. She was married. June 27, 1911, to William H. Mounts, who died March 11, 1960.
Surviving are six sons, William S. Sr., of Canonsburg R.D. 2 Melvin Sr., of Washington R.D. 4 Cephas, of Claysville R.D. 1 Charles, of Houston Dean, of Claysville R.D. 3, and Sherman, of Claysville R.D. 2 three daughters Martha, wife of James Byers, of Washington Louise, wife of Lloyd Breese, of Claysville R.D. 3, and Mildred, wife of Harry Applegate, of Claysville R D. 2 three sisters Mrs. Minnie Calvert and Mrs. Mildred Daugherty, both of Washington, and Mrs. Zada Mounts, of Uniontown one brother, Kilbourne Scott, of Amity, 29 grandchildren and 44 great - grandchildren. Three brothers and four sisters are deceased.
