Martha W. Mounts Byers Rinehart Obituary

Martha Winona Mounts Byers Rinehart, age 86, of Claysville, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, September 11, 2014, in Breese Personal Care Home, Claysville.

She was born February 29, 1928, in Buffalo Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late William H. and Sylvia J. Mounts.

Mrs. Rinehart was married to her first husband, James Byers, for 31 years until his death in 1977 and later married Willis Rinehart in 1986. He died in 1994.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and singing in local choirs. She was an avid bird-watcher and loved various flowers.

Mrs. Rinehart was a member of Windy Gap Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Surviving a multiple nieces and nephews. She most recently made her home with her niece, Cora Breese Brownlee.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and late husbands, are six brothers, William, Melvin, Cephas, Charles, Sherman and Dean Mounts and two sisters, Mildred Applegate and Louise Breese.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m., the time of the service, Sunday, September 14, in Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 219 Main St., Claysville, Pennsylvania 15323 with the Rev. Meade Lacock officiating. There will be a luncheon immediately following in Claysville Christian Church. Interment is in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Pleasant Grove, Pennsylvania and will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of one’s choice.
