Charlotte A. Mosher, 92, a longtime resident of Asotin, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at the Life Care Center in Lewiston.

Charlotte was born Nov. 10, 1918, in Anatone to Raymond F. and Agnes E. (Peterson) Scheibe.

She attended school in Anatone, graduating from Anatone High School in 1936. She then attended Lewis-Clark State College for two years and continued her education at Lewiston Business College.

After college, Charlotte worked as a bookkeeper for the Owl Drug for many years.

She married Robert "Bob" Mosher in Clarkston on July 6, 1947. At first, they lived in Lewiston, then later moved to Asotin, where Charlotte worked as the Asotin County deputy auditor from 1961 to 1980, when she retired.

Charlotte was a member of the United Methodist Church. She and Bob enjoyed camping and fishing around Dworshak. They enjoyed taking their grandchildren on vacations.

"This is what we admire about Charlotte: Just two days shy of her 93rd birthday Charlotte proved that no matter how many years and losses you have had - it never costs anything to love another person. Charlotte took in several children and loved them as her own. To me, this is the true essence of selflessness."

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Agnes Scheibe; her husband, Robert Mosher; a daughter, Belinda Mosher; and a brother, George Scheibe.

She is survived by a son, Jack Moose of Spirit Lake; grandchildren, Jessica Holmes and Haley Logan, both of Lewiston, and Brian Chance of Seattle; a sister, Elizabeth Wood of Bozeman, Mont; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Memorial donations can be sent to the Tri-State Hospital Evergreen Foundation, 1221 Highland Ave., Clarkston, WA 99403, or to the charity of donor's choice.

"Jean Ausman Howlett, thanks for being our daughter and for being so loyal through the years. Thanks to Jack for being our son and to Brian, Jessica, and Haley for letting us be their grandparents. We love you all and God bless all of you." Bob and Charlotte.
