George Morgan was born circa 1855 in Brooklyn, New York. His parents were James Morgan (c.1827-1908) and Janet Stewart (c.1833-1893). Both his parents were immigrants from Scotland. George was the first of eight children. The 1892 Census enumerates his occupation as a mason. In 1895, George was a member of an orchestra with two of his brothers Charles and John, James R. Falco and others. In the 1900 United States census for Brooklyn, George was enumerated as a clerk at a piano company, presumably the Aeolian Company where his father James Morgan was president. In the 1910 census George was listed as a carpenter in a ship yard. The following year on April 24, 1911 George died suddenly at his home at 413 Third Street in Brooklyn. He was interred at the Green-Wood Cemetery on April 26, 1911 in the Morgan Family Plot (lot 28546, section 198) with his parents and his brother Stewart "James" Morgan.
